"Is there life east of I-5?"
The question is immortalized on hundreds of rear bumpers in the area. Yet it is only one of numerous queries. Students invariably have a multitude.
One of these, which hasn't gained the notoriety of print, is most often unspoken.
"Is there life east of the Quonset Huts?"
We like to think so.
Just sometimes, though, you wish your John Muir and Roger Revelle friends would make the trip to the "suburbs." They must have a road atlas somewhere. A compass or hiking gear might be a bit excessive.
Like, we must, you know, have rep like the Valley. I'm sure. After all, we do get tired of rush hours.
OK, but this is the nice part. |
